Club Rules

 

Rules:

1.        The Club shall be called ‘The Gloucester Angling   Club’ and the number of members be limited to 40.

2.        The business of the Club and the Election of Officers shall be conducted by the President, Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and a Committee of five members, all elected annually.

3.        The annual subscription of each member shall be     £ 35   plus an entry fee of £12. Annual fee for wife shall be £15 and for Junior members being sons or daughters of members up to 16 years of age £7.50.

4.        In the event of any member conducting himself such as to endanger the welfare of the Club, he shall be expelled at a General Meeting called for the purpose, if a majority of the members so decide.

5.        All members will help the Bailiffs and Officers by showing their Club Cards on request and doing their share of preventing fishing or poaching by unauthorised persons.

6.        Unless any member wishing to resign sends a written notice to the Secretary before the Annual General Meeting he shall be considered a member for the ensuing season.

7.        The Rules shall be printed and a copy delivered to each member,  no member being absolved from the effects of the R ules on the plea of not having a copy.

 

    8.    Any member may take a friend (the same not more than three times a season) to fish in the waters of the Club upon payment of £3 per day, the member being responsible that the visitor complies with the rules of the Club. Permits may be obtained from the Secretary or a committee member.

    9.    No member may use more than one rod and line at the same time in Club waters.

10.     All unseasonable and undersized fish must be returned to the water with the least possible injury.

11.     Each member shall protect the property of landowners and tenants on whose ground he has permission to fish, and in every way conduct himself in a respectable manner.

12.     Spinning is permissable in July and August only.

13.     FLY EXCLUSIVELY is the rule from the Mill at Upleadon, upstream both banks to the G.A.C. Private Fishing notice.

14.     The usual rod licence must be taken out.

15.     During the coarse fish close season from 16th March to 15th June, no float or bait such as cereal or maggots is permitted.

16.     Trout open season:-  Leadon , April to September 30th inclusive.

17.     No dogs may be taken to Club waters.
